I had not heard of this show until I read about it on Betsy’s Sunshine on Water blog. Now I’m intrigued! What better place to spend the 4th of July than on the water buying art?

Keuka Arts Festival This Weekend!

Red Tree Studio – Best in Jewelry, Athens ArtsFest 2014

I have a great fondness for the Keuka Lake area. After my dad retired at age 55, he owned a 125 acre tree farm for a bunch of years. I loved the drive down there and never missed a chance to hit up The Windmill Farm & Craft Market and Oak Hill Bulk Foods.

Poor Penn Yan has been through a lot lately with the recent flooding. I can hardly bear to look at the photos. There’s a bar/restaurant we used to have lunch at sometimes. I remember my sister and I taking our visiting cousin there once. Actually my most vivid memory of that trip is Scott making me laugh so hard, I squirted milk out my nose. (Sorry for the visual.) It was not in the restaurant, thank goodness, but in the car. My mom’s car. I remember turning on the windshield wipers, pretending they were on the inside, erasing all evidence, making us laugh harder.

Um, where was I? Oh! The many Rochester Artisans you’ll get to visit with at this year’s Keuka Arts Festival. Here they are!

I really enjoy making traditional designs, and creating my own custom designs. I also enjoy talking about pysanky, so if you have any questions at all, feel free to email me!

 

The custom work I do is usually special requests for a specific egg, with certain symbols, or “sets,” such as wedding eggs for the whole wedding party.

Corn Hill Arts Festival
